Building a business plan
Every business starting out needs to begin with a Business Plan. It is the foundation upon which your business will be built. A business plan gives your idea for a great product or service the concrete details that will help you get started and help you find financing for your business if you need it. It will then become a roadmap guiding you as you launch and grow your business.
A business plan helps examine the feasibility of your idea, assess your financial situation and assess your readiness for taking on the financial risk of a new business. A business plan will also help communicate the vision you have of this business to your management team, suppliers, customers and other stakeholders.
Developing a business plan is hard work. The New Hampshire Small Business Development Center offers e-courses to help you begin to develop your plan. You may also want to review our Tips for Writing a Business Plan for more ideas and resources.
As with all of our e-courses, “Crafting a Business Plan” is available whenever you wish to take it, and is also available en Espanol. The course takes about 2.5 hours to complete and includes 135 slides. You can stop and re-start the course at any time.
After working on your business plan, you may wish to meet with one of our NH SBDC business advisors.
