Rich Grogan has served as the State Director since April 2015, after joining the NH SBDC in 2012 as Keene Regional Manager. He believes in the power of small businesses to create and sustain a healthy and diverse economy, and enjoys working with New Hampshire’s amazingly talented entrepreneurs toward that goal.
Rich has a varied background in a range of industries, including manufacturing, marketing, banking, public administration, and higher education. His work in higher education, prior to joining the SBDC, helps to leverage educational resources and build partnerships through student projects and faculty research. He also has published works on the topic of corporate and organizational sustainability.
Rich has presented at conferences in the United States, Canada, and the Netherlands, and has received awards such as the Detroit Press Club Foundation’s Michigan Excellence in Journalism Award and the 40 Under 40 designation from the Union Leader in 2015. He participates in professional associations and has served on multiple Monadnock region non-profit Boards. Rich holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business from Wake Forest University, an MPA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a PhD in Organizational Sustainability from Michigan State University.
