The Small Business Administration has recognized Turbocam International in Barrington as the New Hampshire Small Business Exporter of the Year.
Of the $68 million that Turbocam brought in last year, 70 percent came directly or indirectly through exporting. Indirect exporting occurs when the company sells components to another company to build items, which then get exported.
Turbocam, which manufactures high efficiency diesel engine components, has taken out seven different loans with the SBA for more than $5 million, according to SBA Public Affairs Specialist Hugh Curley.
Company founder, chairman and president Marian Noronha said the loans have helped sustain the company’s growth.
Noronha said in a Foster’s Daily Democrat story that "Manufacturing is not dying, just evolving.”
