The NH SBDC and NH Tech Alliance have partnered to provide free Cybersecurity Reviews to businesses with up to 500 employees.
All businesses have critical confidential information they need to protect relative to operations, intellectual property, strategic planning, customer and employee records, and/or financial information. Unfortunately, many small businesses discount the importance of protecting this data, resulting in 43% of cyber attacks being aimed at small businesses, with only 14% prepared to defend themselves, according to the Accenture’s Cost of Cybercrime Study.
The SBDC/NHTA Cybersecurity Reviews program offers small businesses individualized cybersecurity reviews, education, and a high level cyber risk assessment with a cybersecurity expert. A business will meet with an expert to discuss their cybersecurity maturity and needs, and receive a customized evaluation with actionable and achievable steps they can take to start protecting their business immediately.
Eligible clients will receive:
- Up to three hours of consulting time with a cybersecurity expert.
- Access to educational videos
- An initial meeting to discuss your company’s cybersecurity policies (you will need to do some prep work for this one-on-one meeting with a cybersecurity expert)
- A report and action plan written by the consultant
- A follow up meeting for the consultant to present the report and simple, easy to follow action steps to protect your business.
If you are already an SBDC client, meet with your advisor to discuss your cybersecurity goals.
If you are not yet an SBDC client, request advising. You will be matched with an SBDC business advisor, and remember to discuss your cybersecurity goals with your advisor when you meet. You'll be glad you did!
This entire program is provided at no cost for businesses thanks to the support of the NH Small Business Development Center,
the NH Tech Alliance, and funding provided by the CARES Act.
