Andrea O'Brien

Andrea O’Brien counsels NHSBDC clients on assessing their environmental impact, on environmental management and liability, and on achieving environmental compliance. She has been with the NHSBDC for 13 years and has helped numerous small businesses by identifying areas of risk and providing manufacturing businesses with solutions through on-site assessments and training. She has served business and industry in the field of environmental compliance and liability for 25 years through working with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services, and as a consultant for financial institutions requiring environmental assessments on non-performing loan portfolios. She worked as Senior Associate Engineer at IBM and developed that company’s hazardous waste management program in Burlington, Vermont and Poughkeepsie, New York. She is a Certified Business Advisor and has a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Maine-Orono.
