The New Hampshire Small Business Development Center (NH SBDC) is designing both a model program and public policy recommendations to help small and medium manufacturers in rural areas of New Hampshire manage growth effectively.

Whittemore School of Business faculty members work closely with the NH SBDC to research the State’s policies and programs as they relate to supporting manufacturing companies. Professors are also developing criteria for identifying small manufacturers that have the greatest potential for spurring economic development in rural areas and identifying critical paths to success for high growth SMMs in rural areas.

In addition, the NH SBDC offers technical, business and financial counseling and training to small manufacturers while enlisting the help of the University’s faculty and resources to deliver specialized services on an as-needed basis.
